Release 2026.7.0
Wanscale 2026.7.0 improves SD-WAN path selection and day-to-day service-edge visibility in the portal.
Path selection
Better-than matching
You can now define path selection rules where one WAN interface group must be better than another, in addition to existing up/down/degraded state matches. Create and edit these rules from the path selection page; saved configuration is applied to your service edges automatically.
Clearer policy management
- After adding or reordering path selection policies and saving, the table shows each policy once in the correct order.
- If you try to delete a WAN interface group that is still used in path selection, the portal shows a clear error message instead of failing silently.
- After removing a path selection policy, you can delete the WAN interface groups it used.
Service edge
More accurate platform status
Service edge platform status now reflects live gateway interface data. Per-WAN indicators and tooltips show the current state of each path, so connected and disconnected status is easier to read at a glance.
Last seen and uptime
Nodes, gateways, and service edges show last seen next to operational status, so you can tell when a device last reported in. Node uptime is shown in the same way as gateway uptime on service edge views.
Node registration
Registering or unregistering a node is only blocked when a registration workflow is already running for that service edge—not during unrelated configuration work. If something goes wrong, such as a hardware ID already in use, the portal shows a specific error message.
Summary
This release adds better-than path selection for SD-WAN policies and makes service-edge status and path selection management clearer and more reliable in the portal.
