Release 2026.8.0

Wanscale 2026.8.0 introduces the Wanscale Control Center name and a new visual design, and turns several service pages into health- and status-first overviews. You also get clearer path history, CGNAT address space, and more reliable accounting exports.

Control Center

New name

The product formerly called Wanscale Portal is now Wanscale Control Center in the UI, page titles, and related customer-facing copy.

New look

The Control Center uses a new colour scheme and typeface, aimed at long monitoring sessions. Dark-theme form fields are easier to read, and status alerts keep clearer contrast on the new colours.

Service overviews

Service overview pages put health, status, and what still needs attention first. High-impact change and delete actions sit in an Actions menu so they are harder to trigger by accident.

This release includes:

  • Service Edge — live operational status, alerts, last-hour metrics, and performance chart
  • DC Port — live bandwidth and alarms
  • Private SD-WAN, L2 Connect, Public IP, BYOIP — lean status and inventory overviews
  • Metric Manager — a simpler entry page into metrics

Deployment status and the Ready for Service (RFS) date use the same labels everywhere.

Overviews for Cloud Connect, Internet, DC Connect, Fortinet, Endpoint Manager, endpoints, and VMs are still in progress and are not part of this release.

Platform Paths

State history is shown on the Platform Paths page next to live metrics, so you can correlate path quality with recent up/down changes without opening a separate historical view. Short time ranges (for example two hours) now load that period, not a full day.

Virtual network

Carrier-grade NAT

VNET address space and LAN configurations may use the CGNAT range 100.64.0.0/10 (RFC 6598), in addition to ordinary private addresses.

  • Unlinking a service edge from a VNET also removes loopback addresses taken from that VNET, so you can link it again without an overlap error.
  • While a DC Port is used untagged by a service, VLAN management is blocked until that service is retagged or detached.
  • Creating a redundant Private SD-WAN no longer fails if the same DC port is chosen twice; the form explains that the ports must be different.

Accounting

Daily Endpoint Manager accounting FTP export is one file per FTP tenant (all subnets together), sent at 07:00 so the previous calendar day is complete. Subnets cannot be created on an Endpoint Manager until it is linked to a virtual network.

Recently created or changed subnets keep matching accounting traffic correctly.

Security and reliability

This release strengthens how the Control Center protects sessions and tenant data, and applies current browser security practices. Pages should no longer stick on a full-screen loading overlay after navigation or reload. Virtual network events open without error, and several translations (error page buttons, Dutch “Source Node”) are corrected.

This release is the first Control Center milestone: new branding and design, health-first overviews for Service Edge and DC Port plus lean overviews for several other services, Platform Paths history, CGNAT support, and more reliable accounting.
